Learn To Ride a Motorcycle
Goe Harley-Davidson offers the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s Basic Rider’s Course for beginning riders, or anyone that would like to improve their motorcycle riding skills.
Current course openings are:
- March 22nd, 23rd, 24th
The classes are filled on a first-come basis.

Motorcycle Safety Course Requirements:
Cost of Course-$235
Helmet-DOT or SNELL approved and in good condition (Instructor will inspect)
Available for loan
Eye Protection -Helmet with face shield, glasses or sun glasses (Student must provide)
Clothing-Long Sleeve shirt or jacket, long pants (Student must provide)
Gloves-Full fingered (Work gloves available for loan)
Footwear-Sturdy shoes or boots that cover the ankle. Leather or padded materials required. (Student must provide)
Rain Gear-Student must supply if wanted/needed
Balance-Ability to ride bicycle required
(balance cannot be taught)
Ages 15 through 17-Must show driving license or permit
(Approval/Signature of parent or Legal Guardian on waiver, Information sheet and medical treatment waiver)(will not be allowed to ride without above documents)
Schedule-Subject to Change:
Friday 6:30 p.m. to approx. 9:30 p.m. Saturday 7:00 a.m. to approx. 3:30 p.m.
Sunday 7:00 a.m. till 2:00pm
Late students may be admitted Friday depending on time and reason. Students late on Saturday and Sunday will most likely be dismissed.
Classes are located at 1900 N. Downing Angleton TX 77515 (Also known as the old Wildcat Stadium parking lot. If you use this 1900 N. Downing address to locate the course please keep in mind it will put you in front of the school, you will need to go to the back and park between the school and stadium the class is located in the back of the school.)
Texas DPS requires the following:
You must have/wear OVER THE ANKLE FOOTWEAR or you will not be allowed to ride a motorcycle, which means you will, unfortunately, not complete the course.
We do supply the motorcycle, helmet and gloves. You will need to provide over the ankle footwear, long pants, long sleeve shirt and sunglasses. If you have any questions, please contact us.
If you have your own riding gear and DOT approved helmet, please feel free to bring it with you for the weekend’s course.
